Innovation Flirt 4.95

Reaction
Innovation has done it again and if you have become a fan
of baits such as the sweet
beaver, dominator,
and the boom
boom tube, you will want to check out the flirt. The new addition
to the soft plastic line of baits by Reaction Innovation is a
finesse worm called the Flirt.
Compared to your regular small straight tailed finesse worms the
flirt is much sexier and more likely to tease the good ones into
joining the party. The first third of the worm is slightly larger
and the worm tapers down to the tail where it slightly flares
out a bit. Like all Reaction
Innovation baits there are numerous special characteristics.
Bass get used to seeing the same baits dragged by them and shook
in front of their face and become weary and hesitant to bite.
This is why the Flirt
will excel because it has been crafted to have certain attributes
not seen on other soft plastics. The underside of the first third
of the worm has ridges that will give off a unique action in the
water which the bass have not become accustomed to. When the fish
takes the worm into its mouth the ridges will stimulate the fish’s
sense of touch in their mouths and are less likely to reject the
worm because it feels unlike the other worms they see on a daily
basis. The uneven surface will also feel more natural to a bass
that is used to crushing crawdads and baitfish which have changing
contours over their bodies and do not have a super smooth feel
like many hand pour soft plastics. This new Trixie has a solid
head causing more bites per worm compared to similar styles of
worms that often only average a bite per worm. Sometimes with
other worms it seems like if the bass sniffs your bait the worm
rips, not as easy to tear with the
Flirt. The tail is dressed up to impress with an elongated
tear drop tail that comes to a point with a slight ridge that
runs down the top and bottom of the worm to give it a truly unique
look that will give off a different vibration then fish have been
conditioned to causing them to given in and have a taste.
The bait comes in a wide selection of the Reaction
Innovation colors. My personal favorites so far have been
the oxblood
swirl and then my favorite Reaction
Innovation color, the California
420 color. This worm like most finesse worms can be used with
many different techniques often associated with finesse worms
such as dropshotting it or using it with a splitshot rig, and
don’t forget the darter head, I haven’t had a chance
to take this worm to the lakes and fish it on a darterhead, but
I’m sure it will be deadly and I can’t wait till I
have some time to go and do this. I have spent most of my time
experimenting with the Flirt
using it as a standard dropshot worm and it has been very successful
in finding keepers where before I was catching more undersized
fish. The Flirt comes 15 to a pack which is nice so you don’t
have to have tons of bags of worms for one day of fishing.
Some
cons of the Flirt
are that while Reaction Innovation has put out many good colors
for the flirt as of right now it still has no where the color
selection available of other finesse worms. This worm also only
comes in the small version. While Reaction
Innovation has made the Big Unit an extra large worm that
deserves a review as well because it is another good bait by Reaction
Innovation that has not had much attention given to it compared
to baits like the Sweet Beaver. I wish the flirt also came in
a 6.5 inch or 7inch bait which would round out the worm selection.
This bait is certainly limited to its ability to really catch
the larger fish consistently out on the delta because of its small
profile it doesn’t provide the same appeal to the larger
fish that a bigger bait does. It does absolutely perform well
though as a finesse worm when it is necessary to use these tactics
to tease the bass. Overall though the Flirt
is a sweet new finesse worm that deserves a place in your tackle
box if your fishing lots of pressured fisheries because it is
a bait that has a genuine original look to a bait which has been
around much much longer than I have been alive, the plastic worm.
The Flirt
can be purchased from tacklewarehouse
which has all of the currently available
Flirt colors as well as the biggest selection of colors for
the Beaver and other baits. I’m off to go and try to flirt
with the big girls (and I ain’t talking about the ladies.)
